Steps to Become a Manager
Step 1 - Register with USA Hockey
Register with USA Hockey as an Ice Manager/Volunteer. There is no fee.
Due date: Within 4 days of volunteering
Step 2 - Background Screening
Complete your background screening online. MAHA site uses your Sports Engine Login. Background checks are good for 2 years and there is a processing cost of $30.
Step 3 - Safesport Video Training
Complete the new 90 minute Safesport module video. You can complete this video in increments. Once completed, it is good for two years.
Due date: within 4 days of volunteering
To register for the Safesport training:
- Click on the link to the right. You will need your USA Hockey Number.
- Select Organization: USA Hockey
- Membership #: USA Hockey #
Once you have registered, complete the following steps to access the training:
- Click on the link to the right to go to Safesport training.
- Input your USA Hockey #
- Complete Course
- Print and Save your Safesport certificate
- Place Certificate in your team binder
